A typical vertical scrolling shoot-em-up from the eighties. The game is too easy to play. Music, however, is excellent.

---

- The music is quite good, especially the in game music.

- There's a cool attract mode

- When you die, you start at the same place and keep all your power ups.

- Your ship can get various power ups from the mid level bosses. Such as speed up, double shot, laser, a helper drone etc. Quite unusual for a budget game like this.

- Good controls.

- The game auto fires if you hold down the fire button

- It's not super tough like other C64 shooters. You can take a few hits before dying.

And the not so good:

- The graphics are poor. All the sprites look generic and blocky (reminds me of Killer Ring). And there at most 4 colours on screen at any time. They are also quite glitchy. The backgrounds are garish and unimaginative affairs.

- While the background and player sprite move smoothly. The enemies do not, they seem at about 12fps which looks a bit weird on top of the smoothness.

- Enemy bullets are hard to see. Most deaths are WTF just killed me moments.

- It's almost too easy. You'll be fighting long past the point where you got bored. It also loops after 4 levels or so.

- The attack patterns of the enemies are pointless. You can just as easily avoid them all as shoot them.

I give it 6/10. This is a nice effort but doesn't leave a lasting impression. BTW play the orion crack, some of the others are broken.
